A sacred and extremely rare 19th-century silver theca containing a first-class relic “ex cranio” — a fragment from the skull of Saint Urban of Macedonia, Bishop, Martyr, and one of the Seventy Apostles, mentioned in early Christian tradition.
Saint Urban was a missionary companion of the Apostles and is venerated as one of the Seventy Disciples. He served as bishop in Macedonia, where he was later martyred for the faith.
The relic is labeled: S. Urbani Ep. M. (Sancti Urbani Episcopi Martyris) — “of Saint Urban, Bishop and Martyr.”
Inscription: EX CRANIO — from the skull.
The theca is made of silver, with original glass cover, intact red silk threads, and a secure episcopal wax seal.
Accompanied by a fully intact original episcopal document (authentica) dated 1895, confirming the authenticity and origin of the relic.
Dimensions: diameter 3.8 cm, depth 1.5 cm.
All seals and threads are intact. The relic is certified and ready for private veneration or museum collection.
