In stockLarge First-Class Relic of Saint Anthony of Padua — Confessor
Original Episcopal Authentica — Veroli, 1910
A beautiful and important ecclesiastical reliquary containing a large first-class relic (ex ossibus) of Saint Anthony of Padua, Confessor and one of the most beloved saints of the Catholic Church.
The substantial bone fragment is displayed beneath glass upon a gilt textile ground and identified by its original handwritten cedula “S. Antonii Patav. C.” The circular metal theca measures approximately 3.8 cm in diameter and 1 cm in thickness. The reverse retains its original episcopal wax seal and red silk threads.
The reliquary is accompanied by its original episcopal Authentica, issued at Veroli on 16 January 1910, bearing the ecclesiastical arms and authentication of the Bishop of Veroli, corresponding to the seal preserved on the reliquary.
A particularly desirable documented relic of Saint Anthony of Padua, distinguished by the substantial size of the sacred fragment, its original presentation, intact episcopal sealing, and accompanying historical Authentica.
