A magnificent and devotional Relic of great historical and spiritual importance

A finely carved wooden reliquary in the form of a blessing hand, enshrining the sacred Relics of St. Nicholas of Myra, Bishop and Miracle Worker, one of the most venerated saints of Christendom.

The reliquary, standing at 42 cm in height, is executed with remarkable presence and solemnity. The hand, raised in the traditional gesture of benediction, contains within its glazed compartment substantial relics of the saint. At the wrist is set a polished natural amethyst, a stone long regarded as the emblem of episcopal dignity and purity of spirit, accentuating the sacred character of the piece.

Of particular note is the original ecclesiastical certificate, issued by His Eminence Pierre-Lambert Goossens, Cardinal and Primate of Belgium, dated April 18, 1896, which provides official authentication and provenance of the Relics.

This reliquary hand is not merely an object of devotion, but a rare synthesis of sacred tradition, artisanal craftsmanship, and distinguished ecclesiastical authority—an extraordinary testament to centuries of Christian piety and reverence for St. Nicholas, the Wonderworker.

------ Inside the reliquary there is an inscription: “This relic of Saint Nicholas was originally located in an 18th century reliquary.” ------
