Rare 19th-Century Silver Reliquary with Relic of Saint Pelagia of Tarsus

Virgin and Martyr + COA

This is a beautifully preserved silver reliquary containing a first-class relic (Ex Ossibus) of Saint Pelagia of Tarsus, the early Christian virgin and martyr who gave her life for her faith during the Diocletianic persecutions. The relic is clearly labeled as "S. Pelagiae Tars. V. M." and housed under glass with traditional red silk backing.

The reliquary is fully sealed with its original red threads and wax seal intact, bearing the ecclesiastical coat of arms.

It comes with an authentic episcopal document (Authentica) issued and signed by Cardinal Costantino Patrizi, Vicar General of Rome, dated June 7, 1859. This document verifies the authenticity and origin of the relic.

Origin: Rome, 1859.

Relic type: First-Class — Ex Ossibus (from the bones).

Saint: Pelagia of Tarsus, Virgin and Martyr.

Material: Silver.

Diameter: 3 cm.

Condition: Excellent; seal and threads fully intact; includes original document.

This is a deeply devotional and rare historical sacred item suitable for private veneration or a serious ecclesiastical collection.
