Original Roman Catholic ecclesiastical appointment document issued by Joseph-Alfred Foulon, Bishop of Nancy and Toul and Primate of Lorraine.
The document confirms the appointment of Franciscus Xaverius Bourguignon as Honorary Canon of the Cathedral Chapter of Nancy.
The heading reads:
“Josephus-Alfridus Foulon, Dei gratia et auctoritate Sanctae Sedis Apostolicae Episcopus Nanceiensis et Tullensis, Lotharingiae Primas.”
Issued in Nancy (Nanceii) and dated 1876, the document is printed with the episcopal coat of arms and contains handwritten entries, original signatures, and the embossed diocesan seal.
