Original 19th-century Roman Catholic episcopal document issued by Paul-Georges-Marie Dupont des Loges, Bishop of Metz.


The document confirms the appointment of Franciscus Xaverius Bourguignon to a parish office within the Diocese of Metz, written in Latin in elegant ecclesiastical chancery script.


The printed heading displays the episcopal coat of arms and the name:

“Paulus-Georgius-Maria Dupont des Loges, Miseratione Divina et Sanctae Sedis Apostolicae gratia Episcopus Metensis.”


Issued in Metz (Metis) and dated 2 March 1852.
