Manuel, Sabel, and Ismail (Ancient Greek: Μανουήλ, Σαβὲλ καὶ Ἰσμαήλ. d. June 17, 362) are Christian martyrs, commemorated in the Orthodox Church on June 17 (according to the Julian calendar).
According to the life, Manuel, Sabel, and Ismail were brothers and came from the family of a noble pagan Persian. Their mother was a Christian and raised her sons in her faith; they were baptized by the priest Eunoic. In adulthood, they were enrolled in the army of the Girene king Adamundar.
The brothers were sent to Emperor Julian for peace negotiations on border matters. They were received with honor, but during a pagan festival in Chalcedon they refused to take part in it, which provoked Julian's anger. After the brothers refused to renounce the Christian faith, they were subjected to torture.
