Out of stockRome, 2006 + Cardinal Document
A rare and deeply significant reliquary theca containing an authenticated relic ex dente (from a tooth) of Saint Dominic (Domingo de Guzmán), founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) and one of the most influential figures in the history of Western Christianity.
The relic is carefully preserved within a circular metal reliquary, richly finished and fitted with a crystal window, allowing direct veneration of the sacred fragment. The interior is lined with traditional red textile, symbolizing martyrdom and apostolic zeal, and bears the original identifying label “S. Dominici F.” The relic itself is securely bound in accordance with canonical tradition, reflecting the reverence and precision with which such sacred objects are handled.
This reliquary is accompanied by its official ecclesiastical authentication document, issued in Rome in 2006 and signed by Cardinal Camillo Ruini, then Cardinal Vicar of His Holiness for the Diocese of Rome. The document formally certifies the authenticity of the relic and its lawful extraction and placement, bearing the cardinal’s signature and seal, in full conformity with the norms of the Catholic Church.
Saint Dominic (†1221), renowned as a preacher, reformer, and champion of theological truth, founded the Dominican Order to unite learning, preaching, and evangelical poverty. Relics directly associated with his bodily remains—especially ex dente—are exceptionally rare and hold profound spiritual and historical value.
