Saint Paraskeva of Iconium, also known as Paraskevi the Great Martyr, lived during the early centuries of Christianity. Born into a noble family, she devoted her life to Christ and fearlessly preached the Gospel during the Roman persecutions. For her unshakable faith, she suffered brutal tortures and martyrdom, becoming a shining example of courage and holiness. She is venerated in both the Eastern and Western Christian traditions as a protector of the faithful and a healer of the sick.

This remarkable relic offers a tangible link to the heroic era of the early martyrs — a sacred testament to unwavering faith and divine grace.

✨ A rare, fully authenticated relic from 1849 of Saint Paraskeva of Iconium — Great Martyr, preacher, and witness of Christ’s triumph over suffering.

Saint Paraskevi of Iconium (also known as Paraskeva Pyatnitsa) and in Bulgaria (Sveta Petka Samardjiyska - lit. "Saint Petka of the Saddlemakers") is venerated as a Christian virgin martyr. According to Christian tradition, she was born to a rich family of Iconium. Her parents were Christian, and Paraskevi was named as such (the name means "Friday" in Greek) because she was baptized on a Friday, the day of Christ's Passion.
