Monumental Sterling Silver Reliquary (75 cm) with Relic of St. Luke + document of the cardinal and Vicar General of the Pope, 25 January 1826

A monumental Gothic-style reliquary custodia, masterfully crafted in sterling silver, measuring an impressive 75 cm in height. This sacred piece contains an authentic and significant relic – a portion of the head (Ex Calvaria / Ex Cranio) of Saint Luke the Evangelist, one of the four authors of the canonical Gospels.

Saint Luke (Greek: Λουκᾶς) was a physician (Colossians 4:14), one of the Seventy Apostles, and a close companion of the Apostle Paul. He is traditionally regarded as the author of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Widely venerated across Christian denominations, he is considered the patron saint of physicians, artists, and notaries.
